This course provides an in-depth study of non-residential design exploring more comprehensive design solutions such as health care facilities, furniture gallery design, and large office complexes. Emphasis is placed on design of commercial interiors and suitability of materials to meet ADA requirements, codes, and standards. Upon completion, students should be able to design-residential spaces meeting ADA requirements and select furniture, materials, fabrics, and accessories meeting codes and flammability standards.
