This course introduces basic principles of nutrition with emphasis on nutritional requirements and their application to individual patient needs. Topics include the study of Federal Nutritional Guidelines, nutrient functions, Recommended Daily Allowances, AdequateIntake, Tolerable Upper Intake Level, EstimatedAverage Requirement, and related psychological principles.
