Simulation and Game Development (A25450)

The Simulation and Gaming Development curriculum prepares graduates for employment in the gaming sector as game designers, game developers, game artists, level designers or editors, quality assurance analysts, and assistants to game designers and developers, as well as marketing and other firms needing 3D animation specialists.

Students in this program learn both game development and game design and may specialize in the art and design of games or in the programming of games. Course work includes development of a student’s ability to create, tell stories, communicate, present information and stories, problem-solve, manage time, program, use artistic vision, and use analytical thinking.

Graduates should qualify for employment in entry-level positions with gaming/entertainment businesses, educational and training organizations, healthcare, engineering, forensic, and government agencies, and marketing firms.
