This course includes the major developments, issues, and ideas in twentieth-century world history. Emphasis is placed on contrasting political systems, the impact of science and technology, and the philosophical temperament of twentieth-century people. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in the twentieth century. (S12963)
