Wellness: Mindfulness Strategies for Stress and Pain Management


Practicing mindfulness allows you to bring awareness to what is going on in your mind and body at any given moment, helping you to slow down and live your life more fully. Learn how to become more focused, present, and relaxed regardless of what is going on in your life. In this class, you will learn five practices of mindfulness: body scan, seated meditation, mindful movement in the form of yoga, walking meditation and loving kindness meditation. You will also develop the skills necessary to practice at home, and be able to access coping techniques for stress related to any life circumstance including pain and illness.
