This course provides an introduction to basic biochemical processes in living systems. Topics include properties of carbohydrates, lipids,proteins, nucleic acids, vitamins, and buffers,with emphasis on biosynthesis, degradation,function, and equilibrium. Upon completion,students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of fundamental biochemical concepts. (S14065)
